Welcome to Houghton Regis Bowls Club
HRBC was formed in 1995 when the two clubs of Blue Circle Bowls Club and Renault Bowls Club amalgamated at the former Renault Bowls Club ground.
Initially the Moore Crescent location had no clubhouse but through the dedication and loyalty of the members managed to survive until 2010. When after several years of campaigning by Mr Bill Holloway (Billy Blue Woods) with both the local MP and Houghton Regis Town Council the club finally managed to get a pavilion with changing facilities and a small bar area constructed.
Since then the Club has gone from strength to strength winning both local and county competitions on a regular basis and establishing themselves as one of the strongest teams in the county with several members representing the County and playing in National competitions.
In the last 12 months we have managed to raise through the hard work of the members and in particular Norman Owens in excess of £7,000 for prostate cancer. We are an inclusive club and welcome experienced bowlers through to total beginners. Anyone who wants to give the game of bowls a try or just to come and take a look at our facilities are very welcome. There will be plenty of bowlers there to give instruction with all equipment and refreshments provided.
